Pakistan Metrological Department has announced that 1st Ramadan of 2014 will hold on 30th June. Director General of the department has said there are no chances of Ramadan's moon sighting on 28th of the month. Talking to a private media channel, DG Arif Mehmood said that there is no possibility of moon sighting on Saturday the 28th June, 2014. The minimum age of moon must be more than 31 hours for making the activity of sighting eligible, he further said. Monday, 30 June most probably will be the first fasting day in Pakistan in 2014 which may be seen in the country after 50 minutes of sunset. The weather forecast for first Ramadan will be partially cloudy and hot in most parts of the country with couple of thundershowers are expected in Islamabad and Kashmir regions.
